At EyeMed, we’re on a mission to support young children in learning about their eyes, vision health, and choosing a career in optometry. To do this, we’re developing a series of interactive vision curriculum kits designed to immerse grade school children in the world of vision.
EyeMed and The Vision Council Foundation have teamed up to engage grade-school students in understanding how clear vision enhances their quality of life and well-being. So, we’ve worked together to co-brand and launch the next kit in our vision and eye health curriculum kit series.
The latest kit, Common Vision Conditions, helps young students become familiar with refractive errors and what causes those to occur in our vision. The kit also includes a list of eye healthy snacks, a word puzzle to encourage retention, and an eye chart with occluder to create curiosity around the initial steps of an eye exam.
Vision curriculum kits are available at no cost and can be accessed in two ways:
-
Select the download option to instantly save electronic versions of the materials to your desktop for printing at your convenience.
- Request to have pre-printed kits sent to you by completing an online order form. Each box includes 25 printed kits. Quantities are limited, so we do ask that requests for pre-printed kits are capped at 2 boxes (50 kits total) per order.
